Trevor has had a long and varied career,
as a singer, dancer, actor, director and choreographer. He has danced around
the world
displaying his versatility in tap, ballet, jazz and contemporary. He danced the
Queensland Ballet Company at the age of 15 and soon became principal dancer. He
left Queensland to join the Sydney Dance Company and traveled to New York,
London, Edinburgh and Europe. He was co-director and principal dancer for Dance
North and choreographed many ballets.
Trevor changed his career path and worked
for JC Williams and Cameron Macintosh, this time singing and dancing in musicals
and operas. He has appeared in La Cage Aux Folles, Silence Tree, Aida, Merry
Widow and Oklahoma.
He was the director of dance and artistic
director of the Performing Arts Stream at MacDonald College, a private school in
Sydney and left to take a position as dancer and choreographer for a company in
Greece, Eurythmos. He returned to Australia to perform the role of
Shimbleshanks in the Australian and New Zealand production of Cats.
He is presently the principal of his own
Production Company and Talent School , Dansing Pty Ltd and with his highly
professional staff, trains students of all ages in all aspects of the performing
arts. Many of his students are now working the industry in shows such as, We
will rock you, Mama Mia, Saturday Night Fever, Producers and The Lion King. He
lecturers for the Musical theatre department at Central Queensland
Conservatorium of Music .
In 2000 was appointed Artistic Director
of” Ballet Theatre of Queensland” and is also in demand as a choreographer and
has, amongst others, choreographed The 2001 Goodwill Games Gala Opening and the
State of Origin Matches for many years. Some of his Choreographic and costuming
hi-lights are: Arafura Games 2009 , V8 Supercars Opening, Carlton United
Olympic Launch, The Nutcracker, Peter Pan, Aladdin , Beauty and the Beast and
Snow White and Seven Dwarfs for Ballet Theatre of Queensland.
He has devised and choreographed shows
for Disney Live, Lord Mayor's Christmas Carols, Channel 7and Channel 9. Trevor
choreographed THE BIG BROTHER EVICTION , Gala Concert for IGA at QPAC featuring
Rhonda Birchmore, Julie Anthony, John English, Simone Gallagher and the
Countdown extravaganza for IGA starring, John English, Marty Rowen, Glenn
Shorreck, Doug Parkinson and Abbalanche. Trevor directed “ Little Shop Of
Horrors” for CQU and choreographed “ West Side Story” for Ignatians Theatre.
He has performed in and choreographed
numerous shows for The Tivoli Theatre, Brentley's Theatre and Out of the Box for
the Performing Arts Trust .
